I'd just like to add to Hallen's comment. I read the entire blog, and I found it absolutely fascinating. I honestly think it's book worthy. Hell, Dean Kamen wrote a book about designing the Segway, and this is a heck of a lot cooler than a Segway
Great looking car, I'd love to see it in the flesh, and I'd really really love to see it in LFS
Microsoft made a black and Orange theme for XP for the Zune, there's a link to the free download. Don't worry, it has nothing to do with the Zune but the colors.
If the construction zone was clearly marked, which I'd hope it would be, then the driver had no business parking there. However, there's no need to lift the car 2 meters up in the air just to move it down the block.
From what the article says, this isn't the first time it's happened, the people interviewed made it sound like the construction company just moves whatever cars they'd like.
I see that Lerts is now playing Live for Speed and actually making LFS related posts, so I will rescind my prior comments. I have no problem whatsoever with weird or "out there" topics, I just don't think that someone should join this forum for the sole purpose of talking about that.
I don't mind disagreeing, or even arguing. I actually find discussions such as this to be quite interesting. That being said, however, this is the official Live For Speed forum. This is the developers' forum made for the discussion, help, and support of Live for Speed. I have no problem with threads on topic like this, however, when someone joins this forum for the sole purpose of making threads like this, that I have a problem with. This is a forum for Live for Speed players to discuss the simulation, and the off topic section is for side conversations, this isn't politics-forum.org, or some random make-a-friend forum or chatroom.
I don't have a problem with the topics as such, I do however have a problem with the way they are being presented.
To put it simply, if lerts actively played Live for Speed, which I doubt, and posted at least some things relevant to Live for Speed, which he doesn't, I'd have no problem. Right now, he's no better than Imthebestnoobthere is in my eyes.
This is just my $0.02, feel free to disagree with me.
His posts are no more related to LFS than Imthebestnoobthereis' were and probably less coherent, and she got banned
Honestly, if someone came here and never talked about LFS, but talked about rFactor or GTR or Cheese or Cigars or Knitting exclusively, I doubt they'd be on here that long, I don't see how this is any different, except his threads are great bait for people to start arguing and disagreeing with each other.
After you get those, all your problems should be solved. There are a huge number of racers in LFS that use the Driving Force Pro with no problems whatsoever, including myself.
After you've installed the drivers, you will be able to set the maximum rotation of your wheel down to the degree, you will be able to use separate pedals and have them work perfectly, and there are more adjustments to the force feedback.
I own a Driving Force Pro, and I don't even have a PS2, I bought it specifically for my computer, because it works just perfect on the PC
I've gotta say I feel sorry for anyone in England with an internet connection, it sounds like there isn't a single company who has any idea what they're doing. I've never had any problems even close to that here in the states, I feel sorry for you guys.
I guarantee most users are more annoyed to see your, "I got banned" thread than you are to get banned. From what I can decipher from your mostly unreadable post, you did something against the rules and deserved it.
